Dennis moved to Chicago to help build The House eleven short years ago.  To date, he has worked for The House as an actor, designer, writer and/or director on several shows, including Death and Harry Houdini (for which he received a Joseph Jefferson Award in 2012), The Terrible Tragedy of Peter Pan, San Valentino and The Melancholy Kid, Cave with Man, Curse of the Crying Heart, The Boy Detective Fails, Valentine Victorious, Hope Springs Infernal, Dave DaVinci Saves the Universe, The Magnificents, The Great and Terrible Wizard of Oz, Hatfield & McCoy and The Sparrow.  Dennis is the sole performer of The House's The Magic Parlour: an intimate evening of classic magic with Dennis Watkins, running every Friday night at the Palmer House Hilton.  Dennis has also appeared onstage for LiveBait Theater, Uma Productions and Steppenwolf Theatre.  He has worked as a consultant and magic designer for The Court, Steppenwolf, Uma Productions, Roadworks, Vittum and Next.  Today, Dennis works as a magician and mentalist for corporate events, performing arts centers, conventions and colleges from coast to coast.  You can find out more about his work as a magician at www.denniswatkins.net.
